‘The Neilson Street Rail Yard – Container Hardstand Construction, Existing Pavement
Rehabilitation and Track Extension project was very complex with numerous time constraints, yet the work
was completed on time to a high standard of quality and accuracy. Dempsey Wood’s proven experience, partnering
team spirit and problem solving abilities were invaluable on this difficult project, resulting in an extension
to the contract to enable a further area of pavement to be constructed, using funds left over from the original
contract. Dempsey Wood addressed all identified health and safety and technical issues in a logical and
structured manner. Hazards were isolated, eliminated or minimised with the appropriate use of safety equipment,
traffic management or other appropriate measures – with a high degree of communication.’
